Time to focus on really what this site is all about - I'm creating a resource that will help me and whoever else is interested and tracks this website down find and implement ways to make money.

So if money is what we're after, let's focus on what that really means. More specifically than money, let's focus on financial wealth. It's not the money we're after as an end, it's a means to an end. The end is financial wealth, which provides us the lifestyle, free time, mobility and opportunities that we crave.

Wealth has been said to be a state of mind. Call it a "vibe" if you will. One of the most important tasks on our quest to financial wealth is to change our fundamental relationship with money, to allow more of it to flow into our lives. Let's face it, there's not a shortage of money out there to be made, especially for the purposes of an individual.

The process I am in now is that of being a money magnet. It's about feeling wealthy now, about focusing on what I have and not what I don't, about being the wealthy person I want to see myself be. I go so far as writing, recording and listening to affirmations that reinforce and create the attitudes and beliefs I want to have!

There's a spirituality in this whole wealth thing - just like anything else. There is a Law of Attraction that helps us when we are aware of it and consciously cha(lle)nge ourselves, our thought patterns, our productivity cycles, our mental attitudes towards work and money, our present self-view and subconscious auto-criticism.

Then there's the 80/20 rule. And other such practical information (advice, if you prefer) that drastically reduce the amount of time and energy you spend accomplishing the task of raking in the dough.

All of these ideas and methods will be explored, researched and put together into useful, practical, digestible and free advice on becoming financially wealthy in life, with a focus on creating cash flow online. As all of this is implemented in my life, it will be simultaneously documented here for the benefit of anyone interested.

As I was walking through the Grenadian countryside this morning, the idea occurred to me to put together my two (current) main pursuits: language learning and making money online.

So this is a quick post to inform subscribers to watch out for upcoming content in multiple languages about the art of making money on the web. Real money, the kind of money you can live and support a family on.

The languages I will initially work with are the ones I know best: French, Portuguese and Spanish. I will take side adventures into German, Italian and Mandarin Chinese as well. Once my Russian is up to par, that will naturally follow suit.

The Niche Store Builder

I just came across a great recent article about building an empire of BANS sites.

I like this word: empire. It can't help sounding bad ass. Who in this line of do-it-wherever-there's-a-connection work (web information architecture, affiliate marketing and search engine magic) wouldn't love a self-sustaining net empire?

That's what Money Flows is about: my pursuit to find, test and implement methods for generating steady web income. Over time, I narrow them down to the ones that create the most wealth, working harder to make those entities encore plus lucratives.

Indeed, with time and years of research, the dream has started working for me. After arriving late to the webernet, I have now been at it for five + years, often spending far too many hours a day staring at a laptop screen. At first, I worked for clients who essentially paid me to spend time learning to implement websites for all sorts of gnarly tasks like e-commerce, photo management and galleries, content management systems, forums, client relationship management systems, interactive education environments and so on. Yikes.

After working in this way for a while and flowing with the web trends, I started to focus in on the dream of a truly mobile lifestyle. The ability to make enough dosh to sustain room, board and transportation while traveling indefinitely.

Let's be clear: The mobile lifestyle wasn't exactly a foreign concept to me. I have been more or less living that way for over a decade. The difference is: I haven't been making my entire income online. I end up working for clients or picking up small jobs here and there wherever I am, but all these things do is distract from the online pursuit of the dream!

A classic Catch 22 situation: you have to make money today to pay the bills so you can't work on what you know will bring you a truly viable, steady and primarily automated income 4-6 months from now.

Sure, any of us could stay up all night drinking all kinds of crazy caffeinated fluids, and just huff it out for 6 months to make it happen. But I am not disposed to reveling in extreme behaviors, even if they do achieve results. I am more of the Wu-Wei type of dude: action through non-action. Plus, all that sitting makes my back hurt.

And that's where BANS fits in, and the great article that I came across this morning.
